When European universities admit students

Applying early matters more in Europe than most students expect — scholarship and accommodation deadlines usually close months before the course starts.

Autumn / Winter intakeSeptember–October start. The main intake with the widest course choice and most scholarships. Apply roughly October to March.
Spring / Summer intakeFebruary–March start. A smaller intake, available in Germany, Poland, Latvia, Ireland and Malta. Apply roughly June to November.
Rolling admissionsSome private universities and business schools admit throughout the year until seats fill.
Best time to startNine to twelve months before your intended intake, so tests, documents and funding are ready in time.
