Language

Do you need German, French or Italian?

For English-taught programmes, no. But a basic level of the local language makes part-time work, internships and daily life considerably easier — and some countries reward it at the visa or residence stage.

English-taught degreesNo local language requirement to be admitted. English proof is enough.
Part-time workA1–A2 local language noticeably widens the jobs available to you.
Internships and placementsB1–B2 is often expected for German, French and Italian industry placements.
German-taught programmesTestDaF or DSH required, usually at C1 level.
Our adviceStart an A1 course before departure, whichever country you choose.
